The Taunt Button

Here is my "Taunt Button" or what my brother-in-law called it, "Shit Talking Button". Basically every time I press the button in game it sends an insult to the other players through the in game chat. So far I've learned that half the people find it funny and the other half just want to kill me that much more. So I guess its doing it's job. I built it using an arcade style push button and an arduino Leonardo.

It's Just a little something I have been working on just while waiting for the arcade parts to arrive. I ordered the buttons, Joy sticks, got a raspberry pi computer from a friend and I'm just waiting for the joy sticks to get here before i start building.

This is just a temporary setup because it is still in the development stage so it looks like crap until I actually build a permanent enclosure. Also, the button I'm using is an arcade button I bought for the Simon game I'm also making. I purchased a 46mm red push button from eBay that will be used for this.

This is the in game video. Here I'm playing red faction, but this can be used in most games. In the video I push the Taunt Button after every kill. Normally I would only press it if I'm doing well and the kill is impressive. In the video I am talking but you cant really hear me so just ignore the voices. your not going crazy. Also turn the quality up to see the chat window at the top.
